Used in the Erica Synths VCO DIY or any other project where higher clearance is needed between the main and control PCBs. The standard connector is 8.5mm high and does not provide enough space for the 5 position octave switch.

With this higher header the PCB connections are snug, with no gap between male and female connectors.
